A lawyer’s gift for strategy and an entrepreneur’s flair for business: David offers both to clients across a wide range of fields, from retail and manufacturing to technology, education and investment enterprises. The breadth of David’s knowledge and experience has proved as invaluable to established organizations as to promising start-ups. Through a lengthy career practicing corporate law -- including at the international firm Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone -- he has helped scores of organizations navigate difficulties and maximize opportunities. In his business career, David was vice chairman of a computer equipment firm that supplied chip companies including Intel. He spent a decade, rising to the office of President, at the Precious Moments Family of Companies, maker and distributor of social expressions products. David’s versatility is reflected in the range of firms where he currently holds board or counsel positions: They include a software firm that supplies the fantasy sports market, a giftware and apparel licensor, and a manufacturer of industrial equipment. He is a founding member of Grand Angels, a West Michigan-based venture capital firm. David has a B.A. degree from The University of Michigan, a law degree from the Valparaiso (Indiana) University School of Law.
